Three Levels of Cataloguing — Each Matched to a Different Stage of Family Need
A single appointment for immediate clarity. A structured multi-visit engagement for a full register. A nine-month programme for families building something that will last.
Back to HomeHow every Estwell engagement is structured
Every service Estwell offers follows the same underlying approach: the scope is agreed before the first visit; the work is carried out at the family's premises; the finished record is handed over in full before the team leaves. There is no partial delivery and no back-and-forth over missing items. The register is either complete or the visit is extended to cover the agreed scope.
Discuss scope, volume and which service fits. Confirm address and any access considerations.
Written summary of what will be catalogued sent to the family before the first visit.
On-premises work. All materials brought by the Estwell team. No originals removed.
Completed register and supporting materials delivered before departure. Follow-up email within one working day.
Estate Records Inventory Session
A single three-hour appointment producing a written inventory of every document and record the family holds — title papers, account statements, membership records, insurance folders, correspondence and personal papers — each logged with its physical location, folder reference and condition.
The work is cataloguing and general information only. Nothing in the session interprets rules, values property or comments on entitlement. Suitable for families who need one accurate list before speaking with any independent professional.
- Written inventory delivered on the day
- Labelled folder set included and set up during the session
- Glossary of common document terms included
- Follow-up summary email within one working day
Duration: 3 hours · On-premises · Travel within KL included
Asset & Document Cataloguing Service
Three structured visits over four weeks in which physical and digital records are listed, photographed where relevant, scanned, named consistently and indexed in a searchable register that records where every original is stored. Household objects of sentimental note can be photographed and described for the family record.
The register is descriptive only — no valuations, no opinions on ownership. Scope covers up to 900 pages and 200 catalogued objects.
- Register in printed and digital form
- Photographic record of documents and noted objects
- Archival folders and one dedicated storage drive
- Handover walkthrough for two family members
Duration: 3 visits over 4 weeks · Up to 900 pages / 200 objects · KL
Family Archive & Handover Programme
A nine-month programme for families building a durable record that will outlast the current generation. It combines a full catalogue of documents and objects with digitisation, a written procedures note covering recurring administrative tasks, a shared permissioned archive so relatives in different places can consult the same material, and quarterly maintenance.
All work is custodial and organisational. Estwell coordinates appointment logistics with independent professionals the family engages — the family does not need to brief each office separately.
- Full catalogue and digitisation
- Shared permissioned archive for multiple family members
- Three quarterly maintenance rounds
- Written procedures note for recurring administrative tasks
- Named coordinator and appointment logistics support
- Bound closing archive file at programme end
Duration: 9 months · Full scope · Quarterly maintenance included

Standards that apply to every service
On-premises work only
All sessions are conducted at the family's address. Originals do not leave the premises under any circumstances.
Confidentiality by default
No information about the family's holdings is shared with third parties. A standing confidentiality obligation applies to the entire Estwell team.
Two-pass verification
Every inventory entry is checked by a second team member before the written record is finalised.
Non-advisory scope
Estwell cataloguers do not interpret documents, comment on entitlements or offer legal or financial observations. The scope is description and organisation only.
Fixed scope per engagement
Each service defines clearly what will be catalogued. Any extension beyond the agreed scope is discussed and confirmed before work continues.
Full handover at close
The completed register and all supporting materials are delivered to the family before the team departs. Estwell holds no copies after handover.
